For now, every gift goes into a reserve. We want the first grants fully paid for before we make them, so that when we open, a yes means the money is already there.
The Ernie Brooks Foundation, Inc. is an Oklahoma nonprofit corporation. We have applied for recognition of exemption under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Our application is pending. If approved, exemption is expected to apply retroactively to our date of incorporation, and your gift may be tax-deductible. We cannot guarantee approval. This is not tax advice.

How grants will work
When we give, we pay the provider directly, never cash to the applicant, and two directors have to sign off on every grant. You can read the full rules on our governance page.
